Connecticut courts order anger management under the Connecticut General Statutes (CGS). Common charges include Assault (CGS ยง53a-61), Breach of Peace (CGS ยง53a-181), Threatening (CGS ยง53a-62), and family violence offenses. Connecticut has a unique Family Violence Education Program that may be offered for first-time DV offenders.

Connecticut offers an Accelerated Rehabilitation program (CGS ยง54-56e) that allows first-time offenders to have charges dismissed upon completion of conditions, which may include anger management. The Family Violence Education Program (CGS ยง46b-38c) is a separate 9-session program for eligible DV cases.

For general anger management orders, Connecticut judges set the duration at their discretion. Common durations range from 8 to 16 hours.
